The Sector Programme Extractives and Development of the BGR has conducted a study together with the company Fichtner Water & Transportation engineers on the environmental and socio-economic issues arising from the improper disposal of drill cuttings from the oil and gas production. For this purpose, country studies have been conducted in the three BMZ partner countries Egypt, Nigeria and Uganda. At this event, the results and implications of the study will be presented.
