| The digital Geoscientific Map of the Federal Republic of Germany 1:2,000,000 (GK2000 Geologie) represents the surface geology of Germany and adjacent areas. The GK2000 Geologie provides information on the age, composition and formation of rocks on the basis of 33 geological units. It also includes tectonic line elements, marginal positions of the ice shield and impact formations. The GK2000 Geologie is available to the public via the BGR Geoportal as a Web Map Service (WMS) and for download as a shapefile. In addition, it is accesssible in the Geoviewer of the BGR Geoportal. | |
| The GK2000 Geologie is also available in an INSPIRE-compliant version and accessible via the BGR Geoportal as a Web Map Service (WMS) and as several GML files. It is also visualised in the Geoviewer of the BGR Geoportal. According to the INSPIRE requirements, the GML files are provided as download via an Atom Feed. |
